Baeren Apple cider
Using at least 2 Ko-gyoku - Golden delicious cross local Iwate apples, with no water added and no other additives, this dry Japanese cider has a decent slightly sour edge and not the overt sweetness found in other ciders. And like its adjacent prefecture Aomori, Iwate produces some of Japan's finest apples. 6.5% ABV. 3.7 standard drinks.
The nose is of an apple orchard in summer. It has a cloudy golden colour with minimal carbonation and a small white head that quickly goes. It has a full mouth feel, yet light enough to enjoy on a hot summer day.
The best Japanese cider we have tasted. We hope you enjoy also.
