Japanese Whisky & Japanese Craft Gin - new arrivals

We have just recieved a new shipment of Japanese whisky. Included is Kirin Sanjuroku, Nikka Miyagikyo, Nikka Yoichi, Suntory Chita, Suntory Roku Gin and last but not least Quality Okayama Gin from Miyshita. 

These are all NAS whisky which means 'no age statement'. They have been blended with aged whisky to provide a mellow taste but without the astronomical expense of the aged product. 

Truth be told the aged products like the Yamazaki 12 year old or the famous Yamazaki 18 YO are all but extinct. Added to that the fact that the popular Hibiki 17YO  has been discontinued.

But it's not all bad. The new whiskies even though NAS (no age statement) they are drinking quite well. Plus it looks like it will be 10 years until the age statement comes back.
